While not comfortable for sleeping, the Cosine Vacuum Bed is great for 3D printing on!
The Cosine Additive vacuum bed system is outfitted with precision machined standoffs for a constant level print surface, negating the need to level the bed by the user. The bed is made from aluminum billet, with a 3000W silicone heater pad built into it. The machine operator can use a wide variety of print surfaces such as thermoplastic sheet ( ABS, polycarbonate, etc.), glass, and specialized high end surfaces such as PEI sheet and phenolic glass epoxy laminate.

The vacuum system works to hold the sheet in place for stable printing, and easy removal simply by disabling the vacuum motor. This system also allows for more rapid and efficient print surface heating (up to 200°C) by eliminating the thin layer of air which would otherwise be present between the sheet and the heating element.
